Hair care and hair growth: Castor oil is a common Ingredient in hair care, rich in vitamin E and Omega-6 fatty acids. It forms a protective barrier to prevent moisture loss, improves scalp issues caused by dryness, repairs hair structure, making hair stronger and shinier. It is also believed to help promote eyelash and eyebrow growth.
Skin care: As a natural emollient, castor oil has excellent moisturizing properties, making the skin soft and smooth. Regular use helps reduce wrinkles and fade spots.
Massage and soothing: Castor oil can be used as a massage oil, helping to warm the body through massage. It is especially recommended for abdominal massage to promote gastrointestinal circulation. Its anti-inflammatory properties also help relieve joint and muscle pain.
Other uses: Traditionally, castor oil has been used for detoxification, digestion, and pain relief.
Directions
Castor oil packs: This is a time-honored natural therapy method—soak castor oil into flannel cloth, apply it to the abdomen (especially over the liver/gastrointestinal area or lower abdomen), then cover with cling film and apply heat using a hot water bag. This helps promote detoxification of the liver and lymphatic system, relieve constipation, and assist bowel motility. The heat pack can also soothe menstrual cramps—applying it to the lower abdomen helps alleviate menstrual discomfort. Applying to affected areas may reduce inflammation and relieve arthritis or muscle soreness.
Skincare: Mix castor oil with a lighter carrier oil (such as grapeseed oil) at a ratio of 1:4. This retains efficacy while improving the texture for easier use.
Hair care: Add moringa leaf powder, moringa seed oil, and a few drops of castor oil into hair care products as a hair mask to enhance moisture and nourishment.
Eyelash growth: After cleansing, use a clean mascara brush to apply a small amount of castor oil along the lash roots as if applying eyeliner.
